Duties Respond promptly to crisis calls and mobile dispatches to assess individuals experiencing mental health emergencies in various community settings. Conduct thorough patient assessments, including risk evaluations and behavioral observations, utilizing clinical counseling techniques. Provide evidence-based interventions such as crisis management, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and behavioral therapy tailored to individual needs. Deliver specialized support for children, families, individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), PTSD, grief, addiction issues, and acute care scenarios. Collaborate with healthcare providers, law enforcement, social services, and family members to develop comprehensive case management plans and ensure continuity of care. Maintain accurate medical documentation and records compliant with HIPAA regulations using

ICD-10/ICD

coding systems for diagnoses such as

ICD-9/ICD-10

codes. Collect data on client interactions and outcomes to support research efforts and improve crisis response strategies. Requirements A valid license or certification as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or equivalent. Proven experience in crisis intervention, behavioral health counseling, or emergency mental health services. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, mental health diagnoses (ICD coding), and clinical documentation standards. Expertise in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), applied behavior analysis (ABA), grief counseling, group therapy, and addiction counseling. Experience working with diverse populations such as children, individuals with autism or developmental disabilities, and those with PTSD or trauma histories. Ability to perform patient assessments in high-pressure situations while demonstrating excellent communication skills. Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and medical records management within a healthcare setting. Competence in crisis management techniques and triage procedures for acute behavioral health emergencies.
