Role:

Because We Care II Inc in Norfolk, VA is looking for a passionate and dedicated Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) to join our growing team. Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop individualized service plans Provide direct therapeutic services, crisis intervention, and case management support Monitor and document client progress toward treatment goals in compliance with regulatory standards Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and community resources to coordinate care Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with DBHDS and Medicaid guidelines Facilitate individual and/or group therapy sessions as needed Participate in treatment planning meetings and ongoing quality improvement initiatives

Requirements:

Must meet Virginia QMHP eligibility requirements (relevant degree in human services, psychology, social work, or related field) Experience in community mental health, behavioral health, or direct care settings preferred Strong knowledge of mental health diagnoses, DSM-5, and evidence-based treatment modalities Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documentation and client interaction Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively Valid Virginia driver's license and reliable transportation preferred Compassionate, client-centered approach with a commitment to ethical practice
