JOB DESCRIPTION

My Psychiatrist is a well-established multi-disciplinary outpatient mental health group practice. We are seeking Full-Time Residents in Counseling or Supervisee in Clinical Social Work with experience providing outpatient psychotherapy.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct diagnostic assessments to diagnose psychological disorders using evidence-based practices and consultations Formulate and create personalized interventions, treatments, and management plans for patients Develop treatment plans and set therapeutic goals with patients Provides psychotherapy by utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches, both in-person and telehealth Foster a supportive and non-judgmental counseling environment to promote a positive therapeutic relationship with clients Maintain complete, accurate, and current records of all clinical services rendered, includes initial evaluations, progress notes, summary notes and all other necessary documentation Maintain confidentiality for all patient records Provide individuals with resources needed to achieve personal goals Measuring the effectiveness of interventions and implementing changes where required Stay up-to-date with advancements in the field of mental health and continue professional development

QUALIFICATIONS

Master degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work or similar disciplines Licensed as Residents in Counseling or Supervisee in Clinical Social Work in Virginia On track to obtaining LPC, LMFT, or LCSW in the state of Virginia Must have strong foundation of clinical knowledge in diagnosis and treatments Experienced with a variety of psychotherapy modalities, familiar with a wide range of mental health problems Experience working with common outpatient mental health disorders and diagnosis such as MDD, ADHD, anxiety, PTSD, trauma, grief, etc. Proficient with planning and performing psychological therapy & risk assessment
