Responsibilities Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to licensed therapists, counselors, and support staff specializing in addiction counseling, mental health counseling, and behavioral health. Conduct comprehensive intake assessments to evaluate clients' substance use history, mental health conditions, developmental disabilities, and co-occurring disorders using medical terminology and diagnostic evaluation tools aligned with

Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral management strategies, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and other evidence-based practices tailored to client needs. Lead group therapy sessions focused on addiction recovery, trauma-informed care (including PTSD), child & family counseling, and psychoeducation to foster engagement and support behavioral change. Manage crisis intervention situations with professionalism and urgency while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining accurate medical documentation within electronic health records (EHR) systems. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including social workers, pediatric specialists, special education professionals, and medical providers—to coordinate comprehensive care plans for clients with neurodevelopmental disorders or disabilities. Oversee data collection for clinical research initiatives related to mental health conditions or addiction treatment outcomes while ensuring adherence to confidentiality standards. Experience Proven experience working with individuals with substance use disorders across diverse populations in outpatient or inpatient settings. Demonstrated supervisory experience leading clinical teams within behavioral health or hospital environments. Extensive background in working with children, adolescents, individuals with developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Skilled in crisis management techniques including crisis intervention and crisis response planning for mental health emergencies. Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to mental health conditions, addiction counseling, CPT coding for billing purposes, ICD coding standards for diagnoses, and working with electronic health records (EHR) systems such as EMR/EHR management platforms. Experience working with co-occurring disorders—mental health combined with substance use—and implementing integrated treatment approaches. Familiarity with special education practices and working from diverse cultural backgrounds to provide culturally competent care.
