Healthy Minds Clinician (Mental Health)
JOIN OUR TEAM!
Looking for qualified individuals to serve the mental health needs of the offender population. The Western Virginia Regional Jail is seeking applicants for one full-time Healthy Minds Clinician to serve in the Virginia DCJS Jail Mental Health Pilot Program. The applicant selected will be expected to help with daily one-on-one and group counseling sessions and assist program staff with duties, to include group facilitation. This is a grant-funded position. Preferred QMHP-A with at least one year of experience. Applicants will possess the necessary skills to facilitate instruction of evidence-based curriculum to include Changing Offender Behavior, Dialectal Behavior Therapy-Corrections Modified Skills Training and Wellness and Recovery Action Plan or successfully complete the provided training within a year. Individuals hired will function as a member of a team to provide expertise about the mental health recovery process, symptom management and assist with providing the necessary tools to offenders at the Western Virginia Regional Jail to be successful when re-entering the community from incarceration. This is a Monday-Friday, daylight position. The position offers a competitive salary starting at $55,548. This full-time position offers VRS retirement, health, dental, vision, and other benefits, along with paid sick leave/vacation. The WVRJ also has an onsite employee fitness room.
