Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFTA) to join our dynamic mental health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Your expertise will help clients navigate emotional challenges, develop coping skills, and achieve their personal goals through evidence-based therapies. Duties Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately identify mental health conditions. Provide individual, group, family, and couples counseling sessions using modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy. Implement crisis intervention strategies to support clients experiencing acute mental health emergencies or trauma, including PTSD care and crisis management. Facilitate specialized counseling for populations with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, gender issues, chronic pain, grief, addiction, and geriatrics. Maintain detailed medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations while utilizing medical terminology for accurate record-keeping. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for case management, patient care coordination, and clinical research to optimize treatment outcomes. Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to deliver remote counseling sessions while adhering to confidentiality standards and best practices in telehealth experience. Skills Proven expertise in psychotherapy techniques including behavioral therapy, social work principles, psychopharmacology coordination, and diagnostic evaluation. Strong skills in motivational interviewing to foster client engagement and promote positive behavioral change. Experience working with children and adolescents in outpatient or inpatient settings; familiarity with special education environments is a plus. Ability to manage crisis situations efficiently through crisis management protocols and behavior management strategies. Knowledge of ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate diagnosis coding; experience with CPT coding is advantageous. Excellent communication skills for intake assessments, patient education, and collaboration with medical professionals. Familiarity with medical records systems, HIPAA compliance standards, and medical terminology related to behavioral health. Demonstrated capacity for research activities including data collection and clinical research initiatives related to mental health treatments.
