Work Environment This role is designed as a remote position, providing flexibility for the selected Mental Health Counselor to work from their location while remaining highly engaged with our dedicated team. Daily interactions will occur via secure video conferencing, allowing for effective communication and collaboration with colleagues and patients alike. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments of clients to evaluate their specific needs and establish realistic recovery goals. Create and implement tailored treatment plans that utilize evidence-based modalities, including motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy. Facilitate engaging and supportive individual counseling sessions, adapting techniques to fit diverse client profiles. Lead group therapy sessions that promote shared experiences and constructive peer support, reinforcing community and connection among participants. Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and medical professionals to provide integrated care that encompasses both mental and physical health considerations. Act as a first responder during substance-related crises, offering immediate support and intervention as required. Educate patients and their families on the complexities of addiction, recovery strategies, and available community resources to bolster support systems. Maintain meticulous and confidential records, adhering to all ethical and legal standards in documentation. Participate actively in team meetings and case reviews to enhance interdisciplinary collaboration and ensure high-quality service delivery. Stay informed about new research and advancements in the treatment of substance use disorders to continually refine practice and approaches. Patient Population / Client Focus The primary clientele at Recovery Health Treatment Center includes adults struggling with substance use disorders as well as co-occurring mental health conditions. Our counselors work with a diverse range of individuals, providing culturally competent care and recognizing the unique backgrounds and experiences that inform each patient's journey. By fostering trust and open communication, counselors play a vital role in empowering clients to take charge of their recovery. Qualifications A Bachelor's Degree in a related field, such as Psychology, Social Work, or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution. Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Washington. Demonstrated understanding of substance use disorders and evidence-based therapeutic approaches. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Preferred Experience Experience in a clinical setting focused on substance use treatment, particularly within a community health context. Proficiency in utilizing electronic health records for treatment documentation and information sharing. Previous involvement in group facilitation and crisis intervention, demonstrating readiness to address dynamic patient needs. Compensation and Benefits This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from
USD 115,000
to 130,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
