Job Description

Overview AxisPoint Health Systems is seeking an experienced Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to serve as our Clinical Director. The Clinical Director will oversee the delivery of behavioral health services, provide clinical leadership, ensure quality and regulatory compliance, supervise clinical staff as appropriate to their discipline and licensure, and promote evidence-based, patient-centered care. Responsibilities Provide clinical leadership and oversight of outpatient behavioral health services. Supervise and mentor licensed and non-licensed clinical staff within the scope of applicable licensure and regulations. Ensure compliance with OHFLAC, West Virginia Medicaid, HIPAA, and all applicable federal and state regulations. Review clinical documentation for quality, medical necessity, timeliness, and regulatory compliance. Assist with development and implementation of clinical policies, procedures, and evidence-based practices. Monitor quality improvement initiatives and clinical outcomes. Conduct clinical case consultations and multidisciplinary treatment team meetings. Assist with staff orientation, onboarding, and ongoing clinical training. Promote trauma-informed, recovery-oriented, patient-centered care. Collaborate with community partners, referral sources, and healthcare providers. Assist leadership with program development, strategic planning, and service expansion. Support accreditation and licensing activities. Requirements Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a closely related behavioral health field from an accredited institution. Current unrestricted West Virginia Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license. Minimum 3 years of post-licensure clinical experience providing behavioral health and/or substance use disorder treatment. Minimum 2 years of leadership, supervisory, or program management experience preferred. Experience completing behavioral health assessments, treatment planning, and clinical documentation. Working knowledge of
DSM-5-TR
diagnostic criteria and evidence-based treatment modalities. Knowledge of West Virginia Medicaid regulations, behavioral health documentation requirements, and medical necessity standards. Strong understanding of HIPAA, confidentiality, and ethical standards. Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to successfully pass all required background screenings, including
WV CARES.
Preferred Qualifications Previous experience serving as a Clinical Director, Clinical Supervisor, or Program Manager. Experience in outpatient behavioral health and/or medication-assisted treatment (MAT). Experience supervising multidisciplinary clinical teams. Knowledge of OHFLAC licensing requirements and state behavioral health regulations. Experience with quality assurance, utilization review, and performance improvement. Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems (Practice Fusion experience preferred). Experience participating in audits, licensing surveys, or accreditation reviews.
