Job Overview The Behavioral Health Clinician - IPS Supported Employment is an independently licensed behavioral health professional who provides clinical services exclusively to individuals participating in Frontier Community Services' Individual Placement and Support (IPS) Supported Employment program. This position serves as the primary clinical partner for the IPS program and is an active member of the multidisciplinary treatment team. The Clinician provides individual psychotherapy, behavioral health assessments, treatment planning, crisis assessment and intervention, clinical consultation, care coordination, and other services within professional scope. The Clinician works with the multidisciplinary team to integrate behavioral health treatment and employment services and supports competitive integrated employment as an important component of recovery. Responsibilities Complete behavioral health assessments, intakes, reassessments, and other clinical evaluations within professional scope of practice. Develop, review, and update individualized treatment plans based on assessed needs, strengths, preferences, recovery goals, and medical necessity. Provide individual psychotherapy and clinically appropriate therapeutic interventions in accordance with Alaska law, Medicaid and payer requirements, professional standards, and agency policy. Assess and monitor behavioral health symptoms, functioning, treatment progress, and response to interventions. Provide crisis assessment and intervention, including risk assessment, safety planning, de-escalation, referral, and coordination with higher levels of care when necessary. Provide clinical consultation and recommendations to members of the individual's treatment and support team. Serve as the primary clinical partner for the IPS Supported Employment program and participate as an active member of the multidisciplinary treatment team, collaborating with team members to integrate behavioral health treatment and employment services and support participants in addressing behavioral health needs that may affect obtaining or maintaining competitive integrated employment. Promote competitive integrated employment as a component of recovery and incorporate employment goals into behavioral health assessment, treatment planning, and ongoing clinical services when identified by the individual. Maintain regular communication with multidisciplinary team members regarding participants in accordance with confidentiality requirements. Participate in required IPS training, fidelity reviews, technical assistance, quality-improvement activities, and corrective action planning as applicable. Maintain complete, accurate, timely clinical documentation and comply with Medicaid, payer, regulatory, confidentiality, ethical, and agency requirements.

ADDITIONAL JOB DUTIES

Participate in agency, program, and treatment-team meetings and required training. Coordinate with community providers and other authorized members of the individual's support system as clinically appropriate. Maintain required professional credentials, Medicaid enrollment, and payer credentialing. Other related duties as assigned consistent with professional scope of practice.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or another behavioral health discipline qualifying the individual for independent professional licensure in Alaska. Current, active, unrestricted Alaska professional license permitting independent provision of the clinical services required by this position, such as LCSW, LPC, LMFT, Licensed Psychologist, or another qualifying independent behavioral health license. Applicant must not require clinical supervision for the purpose of obtaining professional licensure. Knowledge and experience in behavioral health assessment, treatment planning, individual psychotherapy, crisis assessment and intervention, risk assessment, and person-centered, recovery-oriented practices. Demonstrated commitment to competitive integrated employment as an important component of behavioral health recovery and to supporting employment goals based on individual strengths, interests, preferences, and choices. Ability and willingness to work collaboratively as a member of the multidisciplinary IPS treatment team and maintain accurate, timely, clinically appropriate documentation. Maintain professional licensure and credentials in good standing and meet applicable Medicaid enrollment and credentialing requirements. Complete required IPS Supported Employment training and participate in ongoing IPS training, fidelity reviews, technical assistance, and quality-improvement activities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Occasional standing; frequent walking and sitting. Frequent handling/fingering; occasional reaching outward or above shoulder, bending, squatting, or kneeling. Occasionally lift up to 10 pounds and rarely lift more than 15 pounds. Ability to travel to agency and community locations as required by the position.

Maintain practices, means, methods, operations, and processes reasonably necessary or appropriate to provide a safe and healthful working environment. Maintain health and safety requirements in keeping with agency policy and procedures. Position is subject to a cleared background check. Position is subject to required TB screening/testing in accordance with agency requirements. Position is subject to pre-employment drug screening. Complete and maintain crisis prevention/de-escalation and CPR/First Aid certification when applicable. Maintain a valid Alaska driver license, acceptable DMV driving record, proof of auto insurance, and meet agency driving requirements.

Pay:

$62,000.00 - $83,000.00 per year
