This position involves providing team-driven, on-site, crisis intervention and support services to individuals experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis. This individual is responsible for coordinating crisis intervention services with the MCT Case Manager. The primary mission of the intervention is to de-escalate crisis situations, prevent unnecessary psychiatric hospitalizations, limit unnecessary involvement with law enforcement and provide access to local resources and supports. The schedule follows a two-week rotation with alternating workdays and weekends: Week 1: Work Monday-Tuesday, off Wednesday-Thursday, work Friday-Sunday Week 2: Off Monday-Tuesday, work Wednesday-Thursday, off Friday-Sunday Therapists rotate opposite schedules to ensure continuous coverage.
Requirements:
Ability to work overnight shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) Ability to work a rotating schedule, including alternating weekends Flexibility to adjust to the two-week rotating schedule Master's Degree in psychology, social work, or counseling Clinical Licensure preferred. Three years experience (if clinically licensed) or 5 years of experience (unlicensed) working in a clinical mental health treatment setting Valid Alabama driver's license car insurance equal to or in excess of the State of Alabama standards for automobile insurance coverage.
Primary Job Functions:
Responsible for responding to on-site mental health related crisis situations with MCT Case Manager Responsible for providing crisis intervention, de-escalation, and support services to individuals who are eligible for services Responsible for assessing mental health needs of the individual, and identifying necessary resources and supports Responsible for linking individuals to resources and supports within the agency and/or the community within 24 hours Provide accurate documentation of services provided on a daily basis in an EMR system, including clinical assessments, referrals, data collection, case review and follow up tracking Responsible for providing case updates to the MCT Liaison during weekly staff meetings Perform outreach in partnership with local emergency departments, local police jurisdictions, and community agencies Responsible for internal communication and collaboration with the MCT staff Provide transportation when appropriate Maintains data as required by the agency, DMH and Alabama Medicaid Performs other administrative duties as required
Pay:
$29.00 - $33.50 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 46.0 per week
