The Behavioral Health Clinician works under the supervision of a licensed clinician and provides all aspects of psychosocial mental and behavioral health services including primarily brief short-term individual and group therapy, diagnostic evaluations, assessments, treatment planning, care coordination, and case management. Interviews patients and facilitates discussion around diagnosis and treatment planning. Provides case coordination, client advocacy, and linkage to outpatient services as needed. Participates in multi-disciplinary treatment team.MUST BE REGISTERED
with the CA Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS).Qualifications:
Education One of the following is required o Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) o Master's Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Clinical Mental Health, Professional Clinical Counseling or related field with concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy or Social Work Community Health System approved crisis intervention training completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into position required Experience 2 years of clinical or social work or related experience required Experience in behavioral health preferred Experience in an inpatient or outpatient care setting preferred Licenses and Certifications One of the following current and valid registration is required o ACSW- State of California Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW) o AMFT
- State of California Associate Marriage and Family Therapist o APCC
- State of California Associate Professional Clinical Counselor State of California
ASW/AMFT/APCC
registration must be current and in good standing during employment. Incumbent must become licensed within six years from the date of registration in the State of California. Failure to receive licensure within this time frame will result in termination of employment. BLS- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
