Job Description

The Brunswick Job Corps Center, Brunswick, GA is in need of a licensed Mental Health Consultant- part time. This is a contract position which will begin as soon as possible. COBALT Health & Wellness, is a well-established, Virginia based Healthcare organization with over 25 years of staffing Commercial & Government Contracts throughout the US.
Clinical Requirements:
The candidates must be licensed to practice independently in the state of Georgia, as a Clinical/Counseling Psychologist or Clinical Social Worker. BLS/CPR Certified Minimum of one year of experience as a licensed independent practitioner providing assessment and treatment services to adolescents and young adults Maintain all license requirements and certifications during the performance period Provide proof of
Professional Liability Insurance Responsibilities:
Assessment and care management : Complete mental health intakes, mental-health assessments and recommendations. Establish a written/feedback system with documentation in the health record for both on- and off- center treatment, including medication management/ maintaining the confidentiality of the mental health records. Mental Health promotion and education : Coordination with management staff, wellness manager and other departments/programs at the center to develop integrated promotion and education services, with an emphasis on employability. Staff development and consultation : Document monthly clinical consultation meetings with Center Director (CD) to discuss the state of mental health program, staff development on using mental health principals and techniques Intervention and treatment : Collaboration with center physician and health and wellness staff on psychotropic medication monitoring. Short-term counseling with mental-health checks as needed. Collaboration with counseling staff in developing and/or leading psychoeducational skill-building groups to promote wellness. Referral to off-center mental-health professionals or agencies for ongoing treatment and/or specialized services as appropriate.
