Intensive / Community Services Full-time X Part-time PRN Exempt X Nonexempt The BH Clinician for Alcovy Resource Court will be responsible for providing assessment and treatment services to the Alcovy Resource (Mental Health) Accountability Court program. The position will be responsible for providing evidence based individual and group therapy services, as well as case management supports, to individuals participating in the court program. The individual chosen for this position must be comfortable working in an office setting as we as within jails and courts. A strong skill set in completing accurate, detailed, and timely documentation within multiple systems is required as well as strong clinical skills. The individual chosen for the position must possess at minimum an associate level licensure (LMSW, LAPC).
Duties and Responsibilities:
Screen and assess appropriateness of referrals for court programs via use of Biopsychosocial and Risk/Needs Assessments. The BH Clinician for Alcovy Resource Court must have the ability to determine appropriate level of care, stay well informed of available treatment and resource options, and show the capability to justify both verbally and in writing any treatment recommendations or denial being made. Provide evidence based individual and group counseling, as well as case management services to court program participants. Complete documentation in a professional, detailed, and timely manner to secure authorization and billing services in CareLogic as well as keep court informed per required standards in their documentation system. Monitor court participants progress and compliance and feel confident participating with multidisciplinary teams, including the court team and other community partners, to provide the clinical voice and education within ethical boundaries. Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in a related area from an accredited college or university AND licensure as an LMSW, LAPC, or higher AND two years of related post-license experience. Comfortable engaging with consumers with Severe and Persistent Mental Illnesses or Co-Occurring Disorders and their supports, law enforcement, judges, attorney, and other service providers. Flexibility as to work environment as well as sensitivity to issues related to homelessness, mental illness, substance use, poverty, and social marginalization. High level of oral, written, and technical communication skills. Exceptional organization skills, time management, creative problem-solving ability, and capability to effectively work independently and collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Knowledge and understanding of (or ability to quickly develop) wide array of local resources available to individuals served. Knowledge and understanding of (or ability to quickly develop) DBHDD and Medicaid Policies and Procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
Active GA license as an LCSW or LPC. A minimum of 2 years' experience providing treatment services to at-risk populations. Experience facilitating groups (MRT, Seeking Safety, Thinking for a Change, WRAP). Experience working within correctional settings and/or court systems. Experience with CareLogic and CaseWorx.
Requirements/Competencies:
Must be 21 years of age. Must be able to lift 20 pounds, Requires long periods of sitting/standing. May require TB Evaluation at pre-employment and annually. Candidates for selection must pass a criminal background check (including fingerprinting). Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and subject to random drug screens. Must have a valid Driver's License and a clean Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with company policy.
