Maui, HI Job type: Full-time, hourly, overtime built into every tour
Schedule:
Four days on, three off, then three on, four off. Every break is a long weekend. You know how to keep a house calm. You are good with people on their hardest days. You would rather do one whole job well than juggle three half jobs. And you would take a four-day weekend every other week over a bigger title. This job was built for you. Mana Recovery is a Maui-based outpatient addiction treatment program with a psychiatric respite. Our Members live in small homes across the island, and each home is run by two Case Managers who alternate live-in tours. You are on site for four days, off for three, on for three, off for four. Half of every month is yours, and every break is at least three days long. The people and the work Our Members are adults in early recovery or coming through a mental health crisis, living in a real home instead of a facility. Most of what you do is ordinary and matters a lot: a ride to the clinic, a birth certificate finally in hand, a house that feels safe at 9 PM, noticing that someone is quieter than yesterday and telling the clinical team before it becomes a problem. Why people take this job Every break is three or four days. Long enough to fly to family, surf, work on something of your own, or just rest. Your housing is covered while you are on tour, in a private staff bedroom with its own door, with food included as well. No degree and no license required. We train you, on the clock. Supervised direct-care hours for anyone working toward certification or licensure, under a licensed Behavioral Health Professional. Counts toward CSAC hours. One role, whole job. You run the house, support the people who live there, and do the case management that moves their lives forward What the schedule looks like Two Case Managers share each home and hand off at 1 PM. One works Monday 1 PM to Friday 1 PM, the other Friday 1 PM to Monday 1 PM. The next week the long and short tours swap, so each of you works one four-day tour and one three-day tour every two weeks. You stay at the house during a tour. What you will do Run the house: keep it safe, clean, stocked, and on its routine, and orient new Members to house expectations. Support Members' self-administration of their medications under our medication procedure. Drive Members to appointments, recovery meetings, and program activities in the house vehicle. Help Members get essential documents, benefits, health screenings, and medical and psychiatric appointments. Work with insurance and billing to support authorizations and coverage. Watch how Members are doing, document it, and report changes to the clinical team. Respond to Member needs and emergencies Who does well here High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in behavioral health, social services, residential support, or case management is preferred. Sustained personal recovery and familiarity with 12-step or similar programs are preferred. Valid driver's license and current auto insurance. Comfortable working independently as the only staff member on site and staying calm when something comes up at 2 AM. Organized, observant, a clear writer, and respectful with Members, providers, and outside agencies.
