Job Description

The CENTER for Human Services, a leading provider of behavioral health care services, is seeking a Crisis Engagement Specialist (Full-Time). (Livingston County)
Responsibilities:
Provide behavioral health crisis intervention services at locations throughout Livingston County, including hospital emergency departments Provide crisis support for those at imminent risk of suicide or those in need of emotional support Provide referrals for behavioral health and other needed services Provide follow-up care within the required time limits Develop collaborative working relationships with behavioral health professionals, social service providers, and law enforcement personnel Provide service throughout
Livingston County Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED Self-identification as a person in recovery from mental illness or substance use who is committed to their own recovery to help others through their recovery journey Willingness and ability to engage in self-disclosure to assist in treatment Passion to help others with their recovery Excellent organizational and communication skills Illinois driver's license with full coverage auto insurance
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) designation with the State of Illinois One year of work or volunteer experience in behavioral health or crisis intervention
Salary Range:
$17.00 - $21.00 per hour
