JOB SUMMARY
This position assumes responsibility for the provision of clinical services and interventions with patients in the inpatient unit, assistance in discharge planning and coverage for intake. The position includes working with multidisciplinary team members to meet patient needs. This position requires providing services to one or more age populations, including child through geriatric, in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served. This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Blessing Hospital. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values while supporting the strategic plan, goals, and direction of the Performance Improvement Process / Patient Safety Plan at Blessing Hospital.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Training/Experience:
REQUIRED
Master's in Counseling or Master's in Social Work, or enrolled in a Master's program, application within 12 months of graduation date. Must be willing to obtain LCPC or LCSW within 3 years.
PREFERRED
Minimum of two years experience with
Psychiatric or Chemical Dependency Patients Active LSW, or LPC License/Certifications/Special Requirements:
LSW, or LPC preferred
