Job Description

Genesis Behavioral Hospital consists of an 18-bed inpatient unit located in Breaux Bridge and outpatient PHP/IOP clinics located in Lafayette, New Iberia and Crowley. We are looking for a
FULL TIME
licensed clinician for our
LAFAYETTE
location. Responsibilities and Duties The clinician would be responsible for the following: Coordinate patient care with treatment team and patient's support systems Conduct group/individual therapy sessions Maintain contact with patient family/support systems Monitor patient progress in treatment and develop/update individualized care plans Participate in treatment team staffing and document patients status/progress Perform case management and discharge planning as directed by the treatment team Assist in patient supervision and care on facility grounds. Completes documentation thoroughly and timely on a daily basis Qualifications and Skills Master's Degree in Social Work or Counseling Active professional license Strong problem solving and group work leadership skills Ability to interact with people of all ages and cultural backgrounds Ability to work independently and as part of a team Sound computer skills Effective oral and written communication skills Experience working with individuals with chronic mental illness Maintain current CPR and CPI training
