Job Description

Intellectual and developmental disablity (IDD) RN Looking for Full-time Registered Nurse to provide medical oversight to individuals with developmental disabilities who also have medical needs (catheter care, feeding tubes, trach care, etc) who reside in supported living and group home settings. This is a full time Monday through Friday position with after hour on call responsibilities (answering questions, etc). Starting Pay is $79,000 to $85,000 per year

Registered Nurse Job Summary:
The Austen-Dooley Registered Nurse provides medical and personal care oversight services to residents in supported living and group home settings. The RN functions under the direction and supervision of the client's doctor, company administrative personnel & family directions, and in accord with all company, federal, state and local policies regulating health & personal care standards and practices.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 or older, hold a valid RN license in Missouri or a compact state, and be able to read and write in English, (consistent with job requirements) Must have or be willing and able to obtain certifications in CPR Bloodborne Pathogens, Abuse and Neglect, Positive Behavior Supports, and HIPAA for company files (all training is provided if necessary). Must pass a criminal background check Must be able to safely lift a minimum of 25 lbs and perform a 2 person transfer. Responsibilities Provide care to each individual according to their person-centered plan. Oversee complex medical needs of individuals Review medication administration record for accuracy monthly Review physician orders for accuracy monthly Review labs, physician appt documentation and hospital discharge paperwork. Provide input for annual individual planning sessions. Complete monthly RN medical summaries. Notify management of medically necessary items for individuals. Follow physician orders. Maintain current certification in CPR, Blood Borne Pathogens, Abuse/Neglect, Hipaa . Assist team members in providing excellence in care through delegations and trainings. Practice honesty, dependability & confidentiality in all resident matters. Respect cultural & religious practices of each client and family. Promptly report changes in condition of any resident to doctor, company nurse & supervisor. Carry out assignments as instructed by the individual care plan established by annual meeting and found in each resident chart. Adhere to and follow all company policy and procedures.
