The Behavioral Health Clinician works under the supervision of the Director - Behavioral Health Unit. The Behavioral Health Clinician provides clinical services to the patients in the Behavioral Health Unit. This includes individual and group therapy, along with interdisciplinary team activities. Skills and Abilities Essential Technical/Motor Skills
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of staff and leadership, the public, and agency representatives.
  • Must be able to operate a personal computer and standard office equipment. Interpersonal Skills
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communications skills and present a positive image for the organization.
  • Must be motivated, able to work independently, be a strong facilitator and have excellent follow through skills.
  • Must be able to interact with people in a professional, diplomatic, and sensitive manner and ensure that appropriate confidentiality is maintained. Essential Physical Requirements

  • Diagnosing, analyzing, evaluating, monitoring, investigating, intuiting, synthesizing-in diagnosis of emotional disorders; creating, revising, integrating, improvising-in treatment planning and psychotherapy. Essential Sensory Requirements
  • Hearing and seeing as part of patient assessment and the diagnostic process. Exposure to Hazards
  • Aggressive patients, blood and body fluids.
