We are a growing sleep medicine practice focused on making high-quality sleep care easier to access, easier to understand, and more human. Our team provides comprehensive evaluation, diagnostic testing, and treatment for patients experiencing a wide range of sleep disorders. We are looking for a licensed behavioral health clinician with training or experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) to expand the treatment options available to our patients. This is an opportunity to work directly alongside a sleep medicine team while helping us build a meaningful Behavioral Sleep Medicine program. Who Can Apply? We welcome applications from appropriately trained and licensed clinicians whose scope of practice includes psychotherapy and behavioral health treatment, including: Licensed Psychologists — PhD or PsyD Licensed Clinical Social Workers — LCSW Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists — LMFT Licensed Clinical Professional Counselors / Professional Counselors — CPC, LCPC, LPC, or equivalent Other independently licensed behavioral health professionals whose license and scope of practice permit them to provide CBT-I Candidates must hold, or be eligible to obtain, the appropriate professional license necessary to treat patients in the state in which care is provided. Formal training, certification, or significant clinical experience in CBT-I or Behavioral Sleep Medicine is strongly preferred. The Role The Behavioral Sleep Medicine Clinician will provide evidence-based CBT-I and related behavioral sleep interventions to patients experiencing chronic insomnia and other appropriate sleep concerns. Our goal is not simply to give patients sleep hygiene advice. We are looking for someone who understands CBT-I as a structured, evidence-based treatment and can guide patients through meaningful behavioral and cognitive changes that improve sleep over time. Responsibilities Evaluate patients experiencing insomnia and behavioral sleep concerns Provide structured Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) Develop individualized behavioral sleep treatment plans Utilize interventions including stimulus control, sleep restriction or sleep compression, cognitive restructuring, relaxation strategies, and circadian interventions when clinically appropriate Review sleep diaries and other patient-reported sleep data Educate patients about sleep physiology, insomnia, and behaviors that influence sleep Monitor treatment response and adjust therapy based on patient progress Coordinate care with uNITE sleep medicine providers and clinical staff Document encounters and treatment plans within the electronic medical record Identify patients who may require additional medical, psychiatric, or behavioral health evaluation Help develop and continuously improve uNITE's CBT-I and Behavioral Sleep Medicine program Required Qualifications Active professional license permitting the provision of psychotherapy or behavioral health treatment within the applicable state Master's or doctoral-level education appropriate to professional licensure Training, clinical experience, or demonstrated competency in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Experience or specialized training in CBT-I , or a strong background in insomnia treatment with willingness to complete additional CBT-I training Excellent patient communication and education skills Strong clinical documentation and organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary medical practice Preferred Qualifications Formal CBT-I training Experience providing CBT-I independently Behavioral Sleep Medicine training or certification Experience treating chronic insomnia Experience working in sleep medicine, pulmonary medicine, psychiatry, psychology, or an integrated medical setting Familiarity with sleep diaries, actigraphy, PAP therapy, circadian rhythm disorders, and other common sleep disorders Board Certification in Behavioral Sleep Medicine or interest in pursuing additional specialty training What Makes This Position Different You won't be practicing in isolation. You'll work alongside a team focused entirely on sleep — with access to sleep medicine providers, diagnostic testing, home sleep testing, polysomnography, PAP therapy, and the clinical information needed to understand what may actually be driving a patient's sleep difficulties. We also want this clinician to have a voice in building the program. As demand grows, there may be opportunities to expand CBT-I services, develop group programs, incorporate telehealth, create patient education resources, and help shape our broader Behavioral Sleep Medicine program. What Success Looks Like Success isn't simply the number of appointments completed. It's helping the patient who has struggled with insomnia for ten years finally stop fighting with sleep. It's creating a seamless connection between medical sleep care and behavioral sleep treatment. And it's building a program patients genuinely feel helped by. Schedule We are open to discussing full-time, part-time, or flexible scheduling arrangements depending on the candidate's experience and availability. Telehealth opportunities may also be available where permitted by professional licensure and applicable regulations. Compensation Competitive compensation based on professional license, training, experience, schedule, and employment structure. Why uNITE? We're building a different kind of sleep medicine practice — one where patients can move from discovery, to diagnosis, to treatment without getting lost along the way. If you're a psychologist, therapist, counselor, social worker, or other behavioral health clinician who is passionate about sleep and wants an opportunity to help build something meaningful, we'd love to meet you. Apply today with your resume and a brief description of your CBT-I, insomnia treatment, or Behavioral Sleep Medicine experience. uNITE Sleep Institute Sleep Care, Made Human.
