: Mental Health School Social Workers and School Psychologists provide comprehensive mental health services to students with disabilities to support social-emotional functioning, behavioral regulation, and educational participation in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and applicable regulations. The School Psychologist provides psychological services related to the learning, behavior, and educational management of students with disabilities. The School Social Worker provides student and family counseling and social services to address social, emotional, behavioral, and environmental factors impacting student success.TYPICAL DUTIES
(School Psychologist): Conduct individual psychological evaluations and assessments as required. Assist in developing and supporting behavioral and classroom management strategies Communicate evaluation results and recommendations to teachers, administrators, and families Participate inCSE/CPSE
meetings, staffings, and program reviews Maintain accurate psychological records, including evaluations, observations, and reports Collaborate with community agencies and service providers involved with students and familiesTYPICAL DUTIES
(School Social Worker): Provide counseling services to students and families addressing social-emotional, behavioral, and interpersonal concerns Support families by connecting them with community, medical, and social service agencies Inform instructional staff of relevant social or environmental factors impacting student learning, as appropriate Prepare and maintain documentation such as social histories, counseling records, and parent conference summaries Participate inCSE/CPSE
meetings, team meetings, and collaborative planning, as appropriate Maintain communication with outside agencies involved in student servicesCOMMON DUTIES
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and related service providers to support student needs Comply with all federal, state, and district regulations related to special education and confidentiality Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential records Perform other duties as assigned by Exceptional Children AdministrationQUALIFICATIONS
