A Mental or Behavioral Health Case Manager coordinates overall plan of care for patients with mental or behavioral health needs. Oversees patient evaluation and treatment planning and monitors patient progress. Coordinates with the rest of the mental health team, including doctors and nurses, to establish these plans.
Supervise and evaluate Crisis Services staff on assigned shifts; delegate tasks across hotline, mobile outreach, and stabilization units.
Hotline Quality Management:
Monitor, review audio, and evaluate hotline calls to provide constructive feedback and ensure a customer-service-oriented response.
Direct Client Care & Response:
Provide direct crisis intervention, stabilization, and assessment for individuals with mental health and substance use disorders using Trauma-Informed Care principles.
Administrative Leadership:
Manage shift scheduling, approve leave, address complaints, ensure 24/7 community responsiveness, and serve on-call as supervisory back-up.
Qualifications & Requirements Education:
Master's Degree in Social Work or Counseling required.
Licensure:
Active Ohio license as an LISW, LPCC, or IMFT required. Valid Ohio driver's license (< 6 points in 36 months), personal vehicle, and auto insurance required.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years in mental health and crisis intervention preferred. Prior experience with supervision, DSM-5 diagnostics, substance use disorders, and trauma-informed care preferred.
Core Skills:
Proficiency in crisis intervention techniques, mental health assessments, psychotropic medication knowledge, conflict resolution, and basic computer skills (Windows/MS Office).
