Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic School-based Therapist to join our dynamic mental health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive behavioral health services within school settings, supporting students' emotional, social, and psychological well-being. Your expertise will help foster a positive learning environment by addressing mental health challenges, promoting resilience, and collaborating closely with educators, families, and community partners. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans aligned with clinical documentation standards. Deliver individual and group counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy, attachment-based therapy for children, and trauma-informed care. Facilitate child & family counseling to strengthen family dynamics and support adolescent development. Manage crisis situations through crisis management and crisis intervention techniques, ensuring safety and stability for students experiencing acute distress. Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare providers to coordinate case management efforts and implement appropriate behavioral health interventions. Document all patient interactions accurately using social work documentation tools while adhering to HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards. Engage in data collection and diagnostic evaluation processes to monitor progress and adjust treatment strategies accordingly. Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in social work, or counseling, licensure or certification as required by state law. Proven experience working with children, adolescents, and families in school or community settings. Strong skills in addiction counseling, behavioral therapy, child & youth therapy, and social work practices. Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and clinical documentation standards. Ability to perform crisis management and crisis intervention effectively in high-pressure situations. Familiarity with applied behavior analysis (ABA), special education protocols, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), PTSD care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities is preferred. Excellent communication skills with a focus on cultural diversity counseling and conflict management strategies. $65,000.00 - $79,000.00 per year
