Work Environment This position operates primarily in a remote setting, allowing flexibility in managing your work-life balance while ensuring the well-being of young clients. The unique school-based aspect of this role means you will be collaborating closely with educational staff and counselors to create an integrated support network for students. You will also engage with families and community resources to provide a comprehensive mental health approach. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments of students experiencing mental health issues, including major emotional disorders, and create tailored treatment plans in collaboration with educators and parents. Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions to address and mitigate mental health symptoms, utilizing evidence-based practices and trauma-informed care principles. Engage with diverse populations, respecting a variety of cultural beliefs and practices while building rapport with clients, families, and educational professionals. Monitor client progress and outcomes, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to meet the evolving needs of students. Participate in crisis intervention as needed, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all clients. Conduct training and workshops for school staff and families on mental health awareness and best practices for supporting students. Maintain meticulous records of client meetings, treatment plans, progress notes, and data submissions to comply with regulatory requirements. Take part in team meetings and committees aimed at enhancing agency service delivery and fostering collaboration among all stakeholders. Patient Population / Client Focus The successful candidate will primarily work with school-aged children and adolescents, who may be experiencing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges. The range of issues can include anxiety, depression, trauma, peer relationship struggles, and adjustment problems. This role is pivotal in helping these young individuals navigate their mental health difficulties while providing crucial support to their families and the school community. Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field; Master's degree preferred. Current and valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) designation required. Minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience, preferably working with children and adolescents. Strong understanding of mental health issues pertinent to the school-aged population. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team. Preferred Experience Experience in school mental health settings, particularly in developing and implementing integrated care plans. Proficiency in delivering individual and group therapy tailored to children and adolescents. Knowledge of community resources and referral systems for additional client support. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and telehealth platforms. Compensation and Benefits The annual salary for this role ranges from
USD 70,000
to 85,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
