PM Purpose Statement/Position Summary:

The Psychotherapist II provides psychotherapeutic services for a caseload of patients with acutely complex needs. Responsible for assessment, treatment planning and provision of psychotherapeutic services to a defined caseload of patients and may also support the facilitation of groups. Employs evidence-based psychological treatment interventions and provides case management services as needed. Services are primarily clinic-based, but some field work is expected, depending on the needs of the program or individual clients. This position works with other team members to support access to overall services. This position is also responsible for supporting partnerships designed to enhance the availability of services care at CHLA and at external partners.

Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:

Required:

2+ years of clinical experience with children, adolescents, young adults, and/or their families/caregivers. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Valid CA Driver's License and proof of insurance required for positions requiring field-based services.

Preferred:

Experience in health care setting. Experience working in health care settings and with children, adolescents, and families.

Education/Licensure/Certifications:

Required:

Master's Degree in Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or Psychology with previous experience in a child, adolescent, or family mental health setting. Licensed by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as a Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. American Heart Association BLS Certification.

Preferred:

Bilingual in English/Spanish.

Pay Scale Information:
