Job Description

About the Position White House Health Systems (WHHS) is seeking a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) to provide services as part of our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program. This is a community-based behavioral health position providing services to individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. The QMHP will work directly with clients in their homes and other community settings while collaborating with a multidisciplinary ACT team to support treatment, stability, recovery, and community integration. Hours are based on client needs, caseload, and program demand . The current anticipated workload is approximately 20-25 hours per week , but actual hours may vary. What You'll Do Provide individualized mental health services, supportive counseling, psychoeducation, and skills training in community settings. Work with clients in homes and other community locations based on their individual needs. Participate as a member of a multidisciplinary ACT team. Assist with behavioral health assessments, treatment planning, service coordination, and ongoing client support. Provide interventions focused on symptom management, daily living skills, interpersonal relationships, and recovery. Assist clients with accessing housing, healthcare, benefits, employment, and other community resources. Provide crisis intervention and support clients experiencing behavioral health crises. Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and coordinated treatment planning. Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in the electronic health record. Monitor client progress and communicate significant changes or concerns to the appropriate clinical team members. Advocate for clients and coordinate with healthcare providers, community agencies, and other systems involved in their care. Participate in required trainings, meetings, and program activities. Participate in an on-call rotation as required by the program. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, Counseling, or a related field OR an associate degree/certificate in a related field with qualifying behavioral health or human services experience. Must meet applicable Virginia requirements for Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) designation. Experience working with individuals experiencing serious mental illness, behavioral health conditions, or co-occurring conditions. Experience providing services in a community-based, behavioral health, outpatient, residential, or similar setting preferred. Strong communication, documentation, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to establish professional relationships and build rapport with clients. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Ability to respond appropriately to behavioral health crises and changing client needs. Working knowledge of community resources and behavioral health services. Ability to maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. Basic computer skills and ability to work with electronic health record systems. Ability to travel to client locations and provide services in community-based settings. The Right Candidate Will Be comfortable providing services outside of a traditional office setting. Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and sound judgment. Be able to manage multiple clients and competing priorities. Work effectively with individuals experiencing significant behavioral health challenges. Demonstrate a recovery-oriented and person-centered approach. Communicate effectively with clients, families, providers, and community partners. Be flexible and responsive to changing client needs. Contract Position This is an independent contractor position . Services and responsibilities are based on the terms of the contractor agreement and program needs. Hours are not guaranteed and may fluctuate based on client needs, assigned caseload, and program demand. The current anticipated workload is approximately 20-25 hours per week . The contractor is responsible for complying with applicable documentation, billing, confidentiality, professional, regulatory, and organizational requirements related to services provided.
Pay:
$23.00 - $30.00 per hour
