Join us in making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve as a Therapist or Licensed Therapist. The schedule for this position is available as either a 36-hour or 40-hour workweek. Daytime and Overnight Opportunities Available. Position Summary/Responsibilities The 23 Hour Crisis program is open 24/7 for anyone voluntarily seeking support for mental health emergency or crisis. They can stay at the center for up to 23 hours, where they will get support from trained professionals. The goal is to keep beds available at hospitals and provide an alternative place for someone to stay in a crisis. This is an opportunity to implement a successful program in our region that will make an immediate and visible impact in people's lives! Clinicians will provide individualized services to individuals experiencing urgent behavioral health needs, including significant emotional dysregulation, disordered thought processes, and substance use. Some of the services that may be performed during a typical day are: Crisis intervention Assessments Individual/family therapy Health literacy Skills restoration Care Coordination Admissions support Treatment and discharge planning Referrals Hiring Range The anticipated base salary for the therapist position for a 36 hour workweek is $46,467.73 to $50,346.29 and for a 40 hour workweek is $51,630.81 to $55,940.32. The anticipated base salary for the licensed therapist position for a 36 hour workweek is $59,964.85 to $63,843.41 and for a 40 hour workweek is $66,627.61 to $70,937.12. Actual compensation offered within this range will be determined based on the candidate's experience, education, qualifications (knowledge, skills, and abilities), geographic location, complexity of role, and other relevant business considerations. We kindly ask that candidates do not discuss compensation until after an offer of employment is extended.
Requirements Education:
This position requires a minimum of a Master's degree in a human services field that fulfills the criteria for eligibility for professional licensure as a professional counselor or clinical social worker in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Experience:
Minimum of two (2) years of experience which includes attainment of licensure (licensed therapist).
Licensure/Certifications:
Required to pursue licensure as Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Pursue and complete certification as a Certified Pre-screener within the first 6 months of employment.
Background Check:
Fingerprints, State and FBI criminal record reports, drug test, and central registry report will be required upon selection.
Safe Driving Record:
This position requires transporting clients or driving agency vehicles. Candidates must have a good driving record, which is defined as no more than two moving violations in the last three years and no criminal moving violations in the last five years. Special Work Conditions While performing the duties of this job, the employee will often sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb, crawl and reach above their head. Use of hands for placing and pulling objects. The employee frequently lifts and or carries up to 20 pounds and pushes or pulls up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision (computer and research). Specific hearing required by this job includes normal tones. Travel up to 12%. Travel is local.
