Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Child Care Director to lead and oversee our early childhood education programs. Responsibilities Lead the development and implementation of age-appropriate curriculum focused on childhood development, early education, and social-emotional growth. Supervise and support childcare staff, including classroom teachers, caregivers, and support personnel, ensuring effective classroom management and behavior guidance. Maintain compliance with all state and local licensing regulations, including mandated reporting laws, health and safety standards, and staff-to-child ratios. Oversee daily operations of the daycare center, including enrollment management, parent communication, scheduling, and record keeping. Conduct regular staff training on topics such as first aid (including pediatric first aid), CPR, special education strategies, working with children with disabilities, and behavior management techniques. Foster strong relationships with families through open communication about their child's progress, developmental milestones, and any concerns. Ensure a safe environment by implementing health protocols, supervising child supervision practices, and managing emergency procedures effectively. Experience Proven experience working with children in educational or caregiving settings such as daycare centers, preschools, nannying, babysitting, or classroom environments. Demonstrated classroom experience managing early childhood development instruction for infants through preschool-aged children. Prior leadership experience as a Child Care Director or similar role is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development theories and best practices in early childhood education. Familiarity with daycare licensing requirements, mandated reporting laws, health & safety regulations (including first aid & CPR certifications), and classroom management strategies. Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus. Strong communication skills for parent engagement and team leadership in a fast-paced childcare setting.
