This isn't just a Director position. It's an opportunity to rebuild and relaunch a preschool. Chandler Presbyterian Day School (CPDS) is preparing for an exciting new chapter. In 2027, we will reopen CPDS with a renewed vision, strengthened program, and fresh approach to serving children and families in the Chandler community. We're looking for an experienced, confident, faith-aligned Preschool Director who wants to help us build it. Our Director will join us in November/December 2026, before the school reopens , giving this leader the unique opportunity to help shape the program from the beginning. You'll help recruit the team. Build the culture. Strengthen systems. Prepare classrooms. Engage families. Grow enrollment. Establish expectations. And ultimately help create the kind of preschool where children thrive, families feel known, and great teachers want to work. The months leading up to reopening will be an important part of this position. Working alongside church leadership and our child care consulting team, the Director will help turn the vision for the new CPDS into reality.

Your pre-opening leadership will include:

Recruiting, hiring, and building a strong teaching team Helping establish the culture and expectations of the new CPDS Preparing staff through onboarding and training Supporting enrollment growth, tours, and prospective-family follow-up Reconnecting CPDS with families and the Chandler community Preparing classrooms, systems, schedules, and daily operations Supporting licensing and reopening requirements Helping develop policies, procedures, and operational systems Participating in marketing, community outreach, and launch activities Working closely with church leadership to ensure the school is ready for a successful reopening You'll have something many Directors never get: time before opening to intentionally build the program you will ultimately lead.

ONCE WE OPEN, YOU'LL LEAD IT FORWARD

Reopening is only the beginning. As Director, you'll have ownership of the overall health, growth, and day-to-day leadership of CPDS, including: Leading, coaching, and developing the CPDS team Recruiting and retaining great teachers Creating a positive, accountable workplace culture Growing enrollment and strengthening family retention Building strong relationships with children and families Giving tours and converting prospective families into enrolled families Ensuring licensing, compliance, safety, and classroom quality Managing staffing, schedules, and labor effectively Supporting curriculum and excellent classroom practices Monitoring budgets and operating with financial responsibility Strengthening systems, communication, and operations Marketing CPDS through community outreach, social media, and relationship building Partnering with church leadership to advance the mission and long-term vision of the school And yes—there will be days when you'll need to jump into a classroom, solve a staffing problem, comfort a parent, help a teacher, give a tour, and rethink tomorrow's plan. That's leadership in early childhood, and you understand that.
