$30-33 per hour (30 hrs/week guaranteed)
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, approx. 9:00 am-3:30 pm
Start Date:
September, 2026 (paid trial days earlier on mutual agreement) About the Role We're an entrepreneurial family in North Scottsdale with two daughters (6 and 4) seeking a Montessori‑certified nanny to lead their daily rhythm at home. This is a long‑term position full school year (Sept 2026-May/June 2027) ideally longer, combining nanny care and Montessori/Charlotte Mason style homeschool support for 2 children in a calm, values‑driven, low‑screen home. Parents work from home but you will run the children's day. What You'll Do Lead a 2‑hour morning learning block (stories, early literacy, math games, art, science, nature, movement) using our themes, provided curriculum and materials Follow an interest‑led, play‑based approach within a simple daily structure Manage transitions, snacks, and clean‑up calmly and consistently Drive to local activities (homeschool group, dance, gymnastics, library, park) Prepare kid‑friendly snacks and help with simple lunch setup/cleanup Set up and rotate independent‑play / quiet‑time activities Keep kids' rooms, play areas, and learning spaces tidy and organized Handle children's laundry (wash, fold, put away) and model good habits with them You Are Montessori certified (AMS/AMI or equivalent Montessori diploma) - required Have 3+ years of paid experience with children ages 3-7 (home, school, daycare, or similar); 5+ years preferred Believe children learn best through curiosity, play, movement, and real‑life experiences , not rigid worksheets or constant testing Warm, patient, and genuinely enjoy being a role model for young children Organized, proactive, and comfortable taking the lead once you understand the family's rhythm A clear communicator with both kids and adults Able to commit to at least September 2026 through May/June 2027, ideally 2+ years If you need strict curricula, grades, and minute‑by‑minute instructions to feel successful, this role will not be a good fit. Requirements Montessori certification (AMS/AMI or comparable program) 3+ years paid childcare experience with ages 3-7 Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, clean driving record Able to pass background and reference checks CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain within 30 days Strong spoken English Compensation & Benefits Hourly rate: $30-33/hr to start, depending on experience (higher for exceptional fit)
Schedule:
30 hours/week guaranteed, Monday-Friday, approx. 9:00 am-3:30 pm Paid time off: 2 weeks paid vacation per year 5 paid sick days ~7 paid holidays (aligned with family calendar)
