Job Description

Overview •Must have experience with neurodivergence•A single mother in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a temporary Mother's Helper/Driver to support her and her two children from September through December. This role is a combination of childcare support and personal assistant duties, with a strong emphasis on driving, flexibility, and hands-on support throughout the day. The family has two children who are 6 and 9. The older child is on the spectrum, highly intelligent and verbal but can be behaviorally challenging, testing boundaries and requiring a calm, confident adult who can help him with appropriate behavior, particularly towards his younger sibling. The younger child is more reserved, creative, and sensitive, preferring quieter, home-based activities. This is a unique role where the mother will be present, but requires consistent support due to physical limitations, particularly with mobility and tasks such as driving, errands, and household management. The ideal candidate is warm, flexible, proactive, and able to step in where needed—whether supporting the children, assisting the mother, or managing day-to-day logistics. This role requires someone who is calm under pressure, physically capable, and confident managing sibling dynamics, including moments of dysregulation. The right candidate will be engaging, intuitive, and able to balance structure with flexibility. Schedule
