Full Job Description Start Date:
Mid-to-late September, depending on baby's arrival The position will initially be part-time, approximately 3 days per week while I am on maternity leave, with the possibility of increasing hours/days once I return to work. We are looking for availability around 6:00 AM-11:00 AM, although we have some flexibility with the exact hours.Pay:

Major federal holidays off Childcare will take place primarily in our home in Los Angeles. A personal vehicle is not required, but a valid driver's license is necessary. Our family vehicle can be used when transportation for the children is needed. About Our Family We have two, soon to be three, children: we are expecting our newborn son and two daughters, ages 2 and 4. The older girls attend school, so mornings will involve helping everyone get ready before transitioning to primarily newborn care. We also have two friendly German Shepherds and two cats. Our pets spend most of their time outside but may come indoors during very hot or rainy weather, so applicants should be comfortable around animals. Job Responsibilities Morning Routine with Older Children- Helping our 2- and 4-year-old get dressed and ready for the day
- Preparing quick/simple breakfasts
- Packing lunches as needed
- Gathering backpacks, water bottles, and other school items
- Helping make the morning routine organized and less hectic Newborn Care
- Providing attentive, nurturing care for our newborn
- Diaper changes and dressing
- Soothing, holding, and age-appropriate interaction during awake periods
- Helping with naps and sleep routine
- Washing/sanitizing bottles and keeping feeding supplies organized
- Light baby-related tidying and laundry as needed
- Keeping track of feedings, naps, and diaper changes
- Staying home with the baby while the older children are dropped off at school
- Providing independent newborn care while mom rests, naps, and focuses on postpartum recovery, as well as while she handles household tasks, runs errands, or attends appointments We are primarily looking for childcare rather than general housekeeping. Any tidying or household tasks would be directly related to the children.
- Spanish-speaking is not required, but definitely a plus!
