Job Description

We are seeking a reliable, nurturing, and highly organized Part-Time Family Nanny / Household Assistant to support a busy family with three children. This is a W-2 household-employee position, generally scheduled Monday through Friday from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with 25 guaranteed paid hours per week and up to 35 scheduled hours per week based on the family's needs. The role combines attentive childcare, school and activity transportation, homework and extracurricular support, meal preparation, household organization, grocery coordination, and light household tasks. Two children may be with their other parent on Mondays and Tuesdays, so the number of children needing care will vary by day. Occasional family travel may be available, with all travel expectations, work hours, compensation, and reimbursable expenses agreed upon in advance. Childcare and scheduling Provide safe, attentive, age-appropriate care and supervision for three children. Safely transport children to and from school, tutoring, appointments, extracurricular activities, playdates, and other scheduled commitments. Maintain an organized weekly calendar and plan ahead for transportation, traffic, school needs, activity equipment, snacks, uniforms, instruments, and other daily essentials. Support a consistent and positive after-school and evening routine. Ensure homework is completed as assigned and help children stay organized with school materials, projects, backpacks, and deadlines. Encourage and supervise at-home practice for extracurricular activities, including language, music, reading, and other assigned practice. Schedule tutoring and other flexible child-related appointments, as authorized by the parents, while communicating schedule updates promptly. Coordinate designated medical appointments, including orthodontic care, for the child assigned by the parents. The employee may be listed as an emergency contact and receive access to necessary scheduling information or parent-authorized systems solely for job-related purposes. Communicate professionally with parents regarding schedules, school notices, appointments, child-related needs, illnesses, injuries, behavioral concerns, and other important updates. Follow all parent-provided safety, medication, emergency-contact, transportation, and pickup-authorization procedures. Meal and household support Prepare approximately two to three family dinners per week and assist with simple breakfast, lunch, and snack preparation as needed. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen during the shift, including cleaning up after meal and snack preparation. Keep the home stocked with basic household and grocery essentials. Place authorized grocery and household orders through family-provided accounts, including Instacart, Target, or Walmart. Work within an agreed household and grocery budget, communicate anticipated needs in advance, and retain receipts or other records for approved work-related purchases. Use a family-provided payment method only for authorized work-related expenses. Manage weekly bedding and towel laundry. Complete agreed-upon laundry support for parents and the designated child, including washing, folding, putting away items, and occasional ironing. Reinforce the older children's age-appropriate responsibilities for their own laundry, room cleaning, and dishes. Complete light cleaning and routine household tasks that support the children and daily family operations, such as loading or unloading the dishwasher, wiping counters, tidying common spaces, putting away deliveries, organizing children's belongings, and taking out household trash as needed. Complete occasional authorized child- or household-related errands during scheduled work time. Schedule, pay, and benefits Regular schedule: Monday through Friday, generally 12:00 PM-7:00 PM.

The family will provide a gas card and/or reimburse all necessary, authorized work-related driving expenses. Work-related mileage and expenses will be tracked and reviewed regularly to ensure reimbursement is sufficient.

Travel:
