While moms workout in class, this staff member will watch up to 7 children in our designated childcare room. Ages range from 6 months-12 years old. The ideal candidate will be confident in handling multiple children, experienced with babies, keeping children engaged in play and de-escalating any misbehavior. This role involves providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children of various ages, including infants and toddlers. And being a friendly support to moms who will trust you with their child as they take one hour of the day for themselves. We are needing someone to work the following hours: Tuesday 9:30am-10:45am Friday 9:30am-10:45am Sunday 8:15am-9:45am with possibility for extra hours doubling up with our other childcare staff on busy days. Responsibilities Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times Workshop ideas with the owner like crafts, song time, games, etc to keep kids engaged Be confident and in control while being gentle and kind Foster positive relationships with children through play and caregiving Tidy up the room after the hour is finished Communicate effectively with parents regarding any issues with children Requirements Experience working with children in various settings such as daycare, preschool, or nannying Must have experience with babies as young as 6 months old CPR certified (or willing to complete) Ability to provide toddler care and infant care with patience and understanding Strong communication skills for interacting with both children and parents Reliable and on time
