Job Description

Blue Mountain Center is HIRING! Youth Leader Blue Mountain Coalition for Youth and Families West Point, CA Part-Time | $17.00/hour | 10-12 hours per week Blue Mountain Coalition for Youth and Families is looking for a caring, energetic, and dependable Youth Leader to help create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for children and teens at the Blue Mountain Center. Responsibilities Lead the Youth Club for children ages 6-12. Assist with the Teen Leadership Group for ages 13-18. Welcome participants and families and complete program check-in. Plan and lead fun, creative, and educational activities in a safe, positive, and inclusive environment. Support children's social and emotional development through positive communication and encouragement, and resolve conflicts and respond appropriately to emergencies. Prepare snacks and assist with setup and cleanup. Attend occasional staff meetings, special events, and program planning meetings. Qualifications We're looking for someone who: Enjoys working with children and teens. Is responsible, positive, patient, and dependable. Communicates well and works as part of a team. Can provide a safe, welcoming environment for all participants. Experience working with youth is preferred but not required. Schedule 10-15 hours per week
Wednesdays:
1:00-7:00 p.m.
Fridays:
1:00-7:00 p.m. Additional meetings, special events, and projects as needed. Pay & Growth Opportunities $17.00 per hour , paid on the 1st and 15th of each month. Opportunities for additional hours and increased responsibilities as our programs continue to grow. Requirements Live Scan fingerprint background check. Mandated Reporter Training (provided after hire). First Aid/CPR certification preferred. About BMCYF For more than 30 years, BMCYF has provided youth programs, family support, healthy meals, community events, and a safe gathering place for residents of the Blue Mountain region.
