Schedule & Guaranteed Hours:

Family is seeking 2-3 overnight shifts per week, with the flexibility to do either two or three nights depending on the nanny's availability. Shifts will be approximately 12 hours, ideally 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m., although the family may be flexible with an earlier morning departure around 6:00 a.m. The family would ideally like consistent weekly coverage. The family is looking for someone reliable, consistent and experienced who can provide dependable overnight support throughout the newborn period. They are hoping to establish a consistent schedule of two or three nights per week for approximately three months, with the possibility of extending the position if additional support is needed. Additional Notes:

The family will be moving approximately one month from now into a three-story home. The baby's room will include a bed for the Night Nanny / Newborn Care Specialist, along with a private bathroom for the nanny to use. Mom will be pumping and providing bottles, with the parents' bedroom available for pumping and feeding support as needed. Key Responsibilities A day in the life...

Standard Duties:

All standard Newborn Care Specialist / Night Nanny duties, including overnight newborn care, bottle preparation and cleaning, diapering, soothing, settling and maintaining a safe sleep environment. Supporting the baby through overnight feedings and helping establish healthy newborn sleep and feeding routines. Caring for the baby independently overnight so parents can rest. Providing clear updates to the parents regarding overnight feedings, sleep, diapering and any notable changes. Supporting Mom with pumping and bottle-feeding routines as needed.

Travel Requirements:

No travel is required for this position Desired Skills and Abilities The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications… All candidates must have 2-3+ years of professional Newborn Care Specialist and/or Night Nanny experience, with strong experience caring for newborns overnight. Previous experience independently managing overnight newborn care is required. Newborn Care Specialist, postpartum doula or other newborn-specific training is preferred. Strong knowledge of safe sleep, newborn feeding, soothing and early newborn development. The ideal candidate will be reliable, consistent, experienced, calm and confident. The family is looking for someone who can commit to a consistent weekly schedule and provide dependable support throughout the three-month contract. Compensation and Benefits Let's talk dollars and cents… Rate of Pay (gross): The family is offering $40-$50/hour (gross), depending on experience and qualifications.
