Job Description
After School Childcare Provider & Van Driver Playology Children's Center is seeking a caring, energetic, and reliable team member to join our after-school program this fall. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with elementary-age children, creating engaging activities, and helping foster a fun, safe, and supportive environment. Schedule Monday-Friday Approximately 2:00 PM - 5:00/6:00 PM Additional hours available during: School breaks Teacher workdays Position begins August 1st, 2026 Summer and full-day programs Responsibilities Safely transport children from local schools to our center using a Playology van. Supervise and engage children ages 5-12 years old . Plan and lead age-appropriate activities, including: Crafts Outdoor play Games Enrichment activities Support homework time when needed. Maintain a safe, positive, and welcoming environment. Use positive behavior guidance and classroom management techniques. Communicate professionally with families and fellow team members. Follow all safety procedures and licensing requirements. Qualifications Must be at least 20 years old . Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Comfortable driving a passenger van. Previous van-driving experience is strongly preferred. Experience working with children ages 5-12. Dependable, patient, and enthusiastic. Strong communication and teamwork skills. CPR/First Aid certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain). What We're Looking For We love hiring people who are creative, active, and genuinely enjoy spending time with children.
