You will primarily be responsible for our 4-year-old while also supporting the care and development of the other children. This position is ideal for a nurturing, energetic, and engaged individual who is passionate about child development and excited to work as part of a team alongside an au pair. The role includes planning activities, providing transportation to extracurriculars, meal prep, and maintaining a safe, fun, and enriching environment for our children. Responsibilities Hours 8:00 am to 12:00 and 2:50-5:50 pm Monday through Friday (slightly flexible hours) Primary Care for 4-year-old: Pick up 4-year-old from school each day (2:50 pm all days except 11:50 am Wednesdays). Provide a nutritious lunch and assist with mealtime. Engage in developmentally appropriate play and activities throughout the day. Transport child to after-school activities, including: Ice Hockey (Wed and Fri): Get her dressed to play and cheer her on! Swimming (Thursday): Support the child during the lesson (nanny is not required to swim). Kumon Reading Class (Wednesday and Thursday): Accompany the child to a 20 minute reading lesson. Hip Hop Dance (Tuesday): Accompany the child to her dance class. Occasional Care for Older Children (ages 4 and 6): Collaborate with the au pair to share responsibilities and provide consistent care and structure for the children. Communicate effectively with parents and au pair about daily activities, any concerns or needs, and any important developments. Assist with dinner for all three children 2-3 times per week. Foster an emotionally supportive environment where the children feel valued and understood.
Transportation:
Ensure safe and timely transportation to and from activities.
Additional Duties:
Light housekeeping related to the child's activities (e.g., tidying up after meals, packing bags for activities, laundry, organizing clothes). Support with educational and creative play, such as arts and crafts, reading, and outdoor activities. Qualifications Previous experience in childcare settings such as daycare, preschool, or as a babysitter/nanny is preferred. Must be responsible, punctual, and possess a strong sense of integrity Energetic, nurturing, and patient demeanor. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with parents and the au pair. Empathy, flexibility, and a collaborative attitude when working with the family. Experience with managing multiple children and multitasking in a busy environment. Willingness to transport children (valid driver's license and reliable vehicle required). Ability to handle discipline in a positive, age-appropriate manner. Ability to maintain a tidy home and keep track of day-to-day activities and schedules. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Must be legally authorized to work in [Country/State]. Ability to prepare healthy meals and snacks for children.
Preferred Qualities:
Previous experience working as part of a team with other caregivers (such as an au pair). Knowledge of educational activities, arts and crafts, music, or other areas that could enrich children's learning. Flexible with work hours and adaptable to evolving schedules. A strong commitment to being part of a family-oriented team and building long-term relationships.
Compensation:
