Early September Position Overview A Darien family of three young boys — ages 4, 2.5, and 1 — is seeking a part-time Household Assistant/Nanny to support household operations and childcare during afternoon and early evening hours. This role works alongside a full-time afternoon nanny and combines household administration, dinner support, and laundry with hands-on care for one child at a time. The family's home is a five-bedroom property with a fenced-in backyard, and they place a high value on outdoor play. The ideal candidate is organized, punctual, comfortable with young children, and communicates well within a team-staffed household. Benefits Guaranteed hours Workers' compensation coverage Health insurance stipend offered On-site parking available Responsibilities Household administration and organizational support Dinner preparation and kitchen support, including cleanup Family laundry, folding, and putting away General household tidying and upkeep Provide one-on-one care for a single child while the nanny is with the other two Support age-appropriate play and routines, including outdoor time in the fenced backyard Assist with children's mealtime and evening routines Coordinate with the afternoon nanny and household team on daily priorities Requirements Professional experience combining household support with childcare, or comparable background Confident caring for one young child at a time, including infants and toddlers Highly organized with strong follow-through Punctual and reliable Strong, proactive communication skills Must be able to provide 3-5 professional references
