Job Description

Kids Unlimited - the After-school program for school aged children at the New Canaan YMCA is looking for enthusiastic, friendly staff to help supervise and engage program participants in activities and projects. This program runs Monday through Friday from 2:30pm to 6pm, and follows the New Canaan Public School calendar. Spend a few hours engaged with arts & crafts, science projects, non-competitive games and sports, and providing homework assistance. Staff can help create activities of interest! Additional opportunities may be available for
FULL DAY
shifts during school closings as part of the New Canaan YMCA's Vacation Camp!
Principal Activities include:
Provide a safe, nurturing and healthy environment for the children in their care. Supervise the children, classroom, and activities to create a fun and inviting space. Monitor check in/check out information and contact information in case parent/guardian must be reached. Be a role model by demonstrating the
YMCA Four Core Values:
Honesty, Resptect, Caring and Responsibility Available shifts are: Monday-Friday 2:30pm - 6:00pm Candidates should: be 16 years of age or older. Relate well to children of this age group. Experience in babysitting/camp counseling. Warm and friendly personality and sensitive to the needs of others
