Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Child Care Director to lead and oversee the daily operations of our early childhood education and childcare programs. Responsibilities Manage daily classroom activities, ensuring engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences for children across various age groups including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Supervise and support childcare staff through coaching, training, and performance evaluations to promote professional growth and high-quality care. Develop and implement curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards that foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Maintain compliance with all licensing regulations, health and safety protocols, including first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid, and mandated reporting laws. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on their child's progress, address concerns, and foster strong partnerships. Oversee child supervision to ensure safety at all times within the classroom and outdoor play areas. Coordinate staff schedules, manage enrollment processes, and oversee classroom management strategies to create a positive learning environment. Ensure proper documentation of child records, incident reports, health information, and developmental assessments. Promote a culture of inclusivity by supporting children with special needs or disabilities through tailored activities and collaboration with specialists in special education. Lead efforts to maintain a clean, organized facility that adheres to health standards for daycare center operations. Experience Proven experience working with children in daycare centers or early childhood education settings. Demonstrated classroom management skills with preschool-aged children; experience caring for infants and toddlers is highly valued. Strong background in child development instruction, behavior management techniques, and early childhood curriculum planning. Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is preferred. Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child abuse prevention and intervention. Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a childcare or daycare environment is advantageous. Certification in first aid, CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), pediatric first aid, and relevant early childhood education credentials are required or highly preferred. $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
