Job Description

Job Overview Early Learning Coalition of Pinellas County is searching for a Child Care Resource & Referral Community Outreach (CCR&R) Specialist. The specialist is responsible for supporting families and providers in Pinellas County through the provision of Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) programs and services.
Essential Duties include:
Plans, coordinates and attends community outreach and training events. Assists with the delivery of CCR&R services. Assists with annual provider profile updates for non-contracted providers. Assists in the training and monitoring of Coalition staff. Participates in required trainings and conference calls. Assists clients and families in locating quality childcare, understanding the types of childcare available, and the importance of being their child's first teacher. Researches relevant community resources and provides referral information for services as needed and distributes relevant parent education material. Processes and maintains all family needs and satisfaction surveys submitted by clients. Maintains all complaint forms from clients and providers. Assists with the completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual CCR&R reports by designated timeframes. Answers telephones and provide appropriate assistance to callers, including retrieving calls from the CCR&R voice mail. Provides technical support and assistance to families with using online registration via computer kiosks and telephone. Provides backup support to VPK and Wait List as needed. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements include:
Requires a high school diploma or GED. Five (5) years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to obtain CCR&R Level 2 Certification within six (6) months of employment. Access to reliable transportation. Travel is required. Available to work evenings and weekends. Bilingual - English/Spanish preferred. Knowledge of CCR&R program requirements. Skill in providing excellent customer service to both internal and external customers. Skill in the use of computers and software applications related to the essential functions of the job, including, but not limited to Microsoft 365. Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally and in a public forum. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends. Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to think clearly amid changing priorities and circumstances to meet deadlines. Ability to interact as part of a team by exhibiting dependability, cooperation, initiative, and punctuality. Ability to work collaboratively with individuals of various cultures, backgrounds and skill levels. Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner. Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet and professional manner.
Hours:
Normal Coalition Hours are Monday- Friday, 8am- 4:30pm. 40 Hours per week. Evenings and weekends may be required for events. Travel is required.
Pay:
$43,200.00 per year
