Job Description

Nanny West Palm Beach Confidential West Palm Beach, FL Job Details Full-time $70,000
  • $80,000 a year 1 hour ago Qualifications Outdoor work experience Personal service experience with children Driver's License Driving Child safety supervision Meal preparation Full Job Description Full-Time Nanny
  • Fun, Energetic & Creative We are looking for a fun, energetic, outgoing, creative, and easygoing full-time nanny who truly enjoys being around children and wants to be an active part of their day.
We are specifically looking for someone who has a naturally upbeat personality and enjoys playing, being outside, planning activities, going on outings, and coming up with new ways to keep kids busy and having fun. We do not want someone who simply watches the children or relies on TV and tablets to entertain them. We want someone who gets involved. The right person will be someone who walks in with energy and ideas—whether that means setting up an outdoor game, doing arts and crafts, going to the park, swimming, finding a fun local activity, playing pretend, doing a project, or simply getting outside and running around with the kids. This is not a housekeeping or cleaning position. Your primary responsibility is spending time with the children, keeping them safe, engaged, active, and happy. What We're Looking For We would love to find someone who is: Fun and playful
  • genuinely enjoys playing with children rather than simply supervising them. Energetic and active
  • comfortable being outside, going to parks, swimming, walking, playing games, and keeping up with active kids. Creative
  • regularly comes up with activities, crafts, games, projects, outings, and other ideas to make the day interesting. Outgoing
  • comfortable getting out of the house with the children and taking them to activities and age-appropriate outings. Easygoing
  • flexible, calm, positive, and able to go with the flow when plans change. Engaged
  • willing to put the phone away and be present with the children. Dependable
  • punctual, responsible, and someone we can count on consistently. Warm and patient
  • able to have fun while still providing appropriate structure, boundaries, and supervision. Independent
  • doesn't need to be told every hour what to do and can take initiative in planning the children's day.
Responsibilities The position is centered around the children and may include: Actively playing and interacting with the children Planning fun activities throughout the week Playing outside and encouraging active play Taking the children to parks, playgrounds, activities, and other outings Coming up with crafts, games, projects, and creative activities Swimming and participating in outdoor activities Helping limit unnecessary screen time by keeping the children engaged Preparing simple meals and snacks for the children Driving the children to and from school, activities, appointments, or outings as needed Helping maintain their normal routines and schedules Making sure the children are safe and appropriately supervised Communicating with us about the children's day, plans, schedules, and anything important that comes up Again, we are not hiring someone to clean the house. We want someone whose energy and attention are focused on the kids. The Personality We're Looking For Personality is very important to us. We are hoping to find someone who genuinely likes having fun with kids. Someone who isn't afraid to be silly, play games, run around outside, get in the pool, do a messy craft, or turn an ordinary afternoon into something fun. We want someone who naturally thinks: "What can we do today?" rather than waiting to be given a list of activities. At the same time, we need someone mature and responsible who understands that being fun and easygoing still means being dependable, maintaining appropriate boundaries, and putting the children's safety first. Requirements Prior nanny or professional childcare experience is preferred. Applicants should have a valid driver's license, a safe driving record, reliable transportation, strong references, and be comfortable driving children when needed. We are looking for someone interested in becoming a consistent, long-term part of our family's routine, rather than someone looking for a very short-term position.
