ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Provides strategic leadership and direction to Turner Childcare Programs to include: Before and After School, Kidzone and Day Camps. 2. Identifies potential areas for cooperative programming to accomplish the Y goals and works with staff groups to develop and implement programs. Guides staff in the planning, development and implementation of quality, licensed program initiatives and activities. 3. Maintains required standards of training and development, facility readiness of classrooms and transportation through state licensing and Bright From The Start quality rating. 4. Develop, maintain, and leads the ongoing development of program systems such as Daxko and required reporting for accurate registration processes, payments, reimbursements and ongoing satisfaction for the program participants. 5. Ensures the operational growth of the Y through program expansion, program quality, member retention, pricing strategies, new site development, and collaborations. 6. Implements and oversees curriculum and evaluates effectiveness for core values, focusing on education and well-being. Consistent, concise communication with program participants and parents. 7. Recruits, hires, trains, develops, schedules and directs personnel and volunteers. Reviews and evaluates staff performance. 8. Coordinate and manage collaborative relationships and community partnerships. To include but not limited to UWCV, Feeding the Valley, Bright From The Start, DECAL, MCSD, Georgia Alliance, DFACS.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in human services, social services, recreation, business or equivalent. YMCA Team Leader or Multi-Team Leader certification preferred. Three or more years of program management experience, preferably in a YMCA or other nonprofit agency. Ability to direct programs through supervision of volunteers and staff, development and monitoring of budgets, marketing and public relations, program development and fundraising. Proven track record of developing authentic and deepened relationships with others. Ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations. CPR and First Aid certifications are required. Understanding of the nature and purpose of the YMCA and the respective roles of volunteers and staff. Open-minded and works effectively with people of different backgrounds, abilities, opinions, and perceptions. Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community; track record of building authentic, constructive relationships with others.
