Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Child Care Director to lead and oversee our early childhood education programs. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing daily operations, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment, and fostering positive relationships with children, families, and staff. Your leadership will inspire a team dedicated to providing high-quality childcare that promotes childhood development, learning, and well-being. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young lives while maintaining compliance with all safety and educational standards. Responsibilities Oversee daily classroom activities and ensure they align with developmental best practices and curriculum standards. Lead, supervise, and support teaching staff to maintain high-quality childcare and early childhood education. Have knowledge of Georgia Pre-K rules and regulations. Have knowledge of the process to becoming Quality Rated. Maintain a safe environment by enforcing health and safety policies, including first aid, pediatric first aid, CPR, and mandated reporting laws, and knowing Bright From the Start rules and regulations. Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, behavior management strategies, and program updates to foster strong partnerships. Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and state/federal childcare requirements. Manage administrative tasks such as staff scheduling, record keeping, incident reports, and enrollment documentation. Promote a positive team culture that encourages professional growth through ongoing training in areas like classroom management, special education, toddler care, infant care, and working with children with disabilities. Qualifications Proven experience working with children across various age groups including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs. Strong background in early childhood education principles such as childhood development theories and classroom management techniques. Certification in first aid and CPR; pediatric first aid certification is preferred. Prior experience in daycare center management or supervising childcare staff is highly desirable. Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child abuse prevention and intervention. Excellent communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration. Demonstrated ability to create engaging learning environments that support behavioral management and individual needs. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education is a plus. Experience with Georgia Pre-K. Experience with Quality Rated.
