Job Description

Ready to lead a school where your impact can be seen every day? We're looking for an experienced Early Childhood Center Director. You'll focus on building a strong team, creating lasting relationships with families, and driving continued enrollment growth. This is a great opportunity for a relationship-focused leader who can bring consistency, connection, and growth to their school. What You'll Lead Drive enrollment growth and family retention through a welcoming, high-quality school experience Build strong, lasting relationships with current and prospective families Provide consistent, visible leadership for staff and families Recruit, coach, develop, and retain a strong early childhood education team Create a positive culture where teachers feel supported, engaged, and accountable Oversee daily center operations, staffing, scheduling, and performance Maintain Illinois licensing, health, safety, and company standards Support curriculum quality and classroom excellence Manage center performance and operational goals Build community connections that support continued school growth What We're Looking For Must be at least 21 years of age High school diploma or equivalent required Previous management experience; licensed early childhood education experience strongly preferred Experience coaching, developing, and leading teams Ability to build strong relationships with families and staff Experience supporting enrollment, retention, or center growth Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Illinois Director Qualification
  • Candidates must meet Illinois Director qualifications, including a minimum of an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education/Child Development OR equivalent college coursework that meets Illinois requirements, including required coursework in Early Childhood Education/Child Development and Child Care Administration, Leadership, or Management. Have you been directly accountable for business planning, financial performance (P&L/budget), labor management, and operational results? Base pay for this role is $60,000 and is dependent on education and experience Which pathway best describes how you meet the Illinois licensing requirements for a Center Director? I have an Associate degree in Child Development/ECE, or equivalent coursework (64 semester hours with at least 21 semester hours in Child Development, ECE, or Early Childhood Special Education), AND an approved administration, leadership, or management course. I meet the education requirement above AND hold a Gateways to Opportunity Level I Illinois Director Credential. I meet the education requirement above AND have 3 semester hours of college credit or 3 approved credential points in administration, leadership, or management.
