Schedule:

7am-4pm most days, 30-40 hrs/week guaranteed. One parent is a physician so schedule shifts, the same week may include the regular 7-4 days PLUS an evening or overnight — candidates need to be genuinely comfortable with that mix, not just tolerate it on paper.

Pay:

$23-25/hr, $25-27/hr IF French-speaking. Mileage on their own car reimbursed. Overtime paid per Illinois law.

Care duties:

full daytime care of (infant); helping older child (7) while building her habit of picking up after herself; planning age-appropriate activities and outings; reading/homework help for Caroline; comfortable caring for the kids on ordinary sick days. Household duties (kids-scoped only): kids' laundry, kids' meals and snacks, bottle/dish cleanup from their meals, keeping the kids' rooms and play areas tidy, keeping the diaper/activity bags packed and restocked.

Logistics:

driving the kids to school and activities, managing the kids' calendar, booking things like swim lessons and appointments, and a quick daily update by text.

Requirements:

real experience with infants AND multiple children; infant/child CPR and first aid; proof of TDAP vaccine, valid license, clean driving record, and their own car; able to swim; non-smoker; valid passport for occasional international travel; background check; 2-3 recent family references. We'd like a 1-year commitment and will start with a paid trial week.
