Nanny/Household Manager

Job Description

We're a Chicago family looking for an experienced nanny for two children. This is a childcare role, not a housekeeping role. What you'll do: Primary care for both children during the day Meals, snacks, and the nap routine Age-appropriate play, park trips, reading, and early-learning activities Cleanup of what the children use — their dishes, their laundry, their toys A short end-of-day note on how things went What this role does not include: family laundry, deep cleaning, dishes from our meals, and general house upkeep. Those are handled separately and you will not be asked to absorb them.
Requirements:
Verified experience with infants and preschoolers Current CPR and Pediatric First Aid Willingness to complete a background check, which we pay for Direct, comfortable communication about scheduling and concerns
Preferred:
ECE certification or coursework, experience supporting children with disabilities, additional languages spoken with the children. Pay is weekly, held in escrow ahead of your payday, so you can see the balance build during the week and you'll be notified if we fall behind before payout. Safety terms we both agree to: once a child is handed to you, no one else can take that child from you during your shift. If someone tries, we call police. You are never expected to negotiate at the door. You'll also get randomly timed wellness check-ins during your shift.
Pay:
Up to $38.00 per hour
