Job Description

Full-Time Live-In Nanny - Bloomington, Indiana | Private Studio Apartment Included We are a family in Bloomington, Indiana looking for a warm, dependable, active full-time live-in nanny to join our family long-term. We have three young children (6-month old girl, 2-year old, and 5-year old boys) and are hoping to find someone who genuinely loves being with kids, enjoys spending time outdoors, and is excited to take an active role in their day-to-day lives.
Anticipated Start Date:
We are looking for someone to start sometime between January and March 2027 and are open to discussing the exact start date with the right candidate.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, approximately 8:00 AM-4:00 PM (around 40 hours per week), with some flexibility in start and end times when needed.
Compensation:
$14-$16/hour, depending on experience, plus a private studio apartment with utilities included. The nanny will have a completely separate, approximately 700-square-foot studio apartment with a full kitchen and full bathroom, providing plenty of privacy and independence outside of working hours.
We have three children:
an older child who will be in preschool three half-days per week, a toddler, and a baby. As our oldest transitions to kindergarten, he will also attend school five half-days per week. We live on five acres and are a family that loves being active and spending time outside. We're looking for someone who enjoys getting outdoors with the kids—whether that's exploring our property, going for walks, playing outside, or heading to local parks and activities. We also want our children to get out and experience the community, so being a safe, confident driver is very important to us . We will provide a family vehicle for use while working and transporting the children. Our nanny will not need to use their personal vehicle for transporting the kids.
Responsibilities will include:
Providing loving, attentive care for our children Planning age-appropriate activities, play, and outings Getting outside and keeping the kids active Driving the children to preschool, parks, the library, activities, and other outings Preparing simple meals and snacks for the children Children's laundry Keeping children's bedrooms and play areas organized Light child-related housekeeping, such as sweeping or vacuuming after meals and play Helping maintain consistent routines throughout the day Our ideal nanny is proactive, energetic, reliable, and confident managing multiple young children , including a baby. We want someone who doesn't feel like they need to stay at home all day and is comfortable independently planning fun activities and adventures with the kids. We're looking for someone who: Has some childcare or nanny experience Has experience caring for infants and toddlers Is comfortable caring for multiple children Is a safe and confident driver with a valid driver's license and clean driving record Enjoys being active and spending time outdoors Is CPR/First Aid certified or willing to become certified Is a non-smoker Is willing to complete a background and driving-record check Is dependable, communicative, and interested in a long-term position We hope to find someone who will become a trusted and consistent presence in our children's lives while also enjoying the independence of having their own private living space. Pay:
