Child Care Director Crowned Kids Academy South Bend, IN Job Details Part-time | Full-time Up to $25 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Opportunities for advancement Qualifications Early childhood education center experience CPR Certification Teamwork Management Interpersonal skills Team development Organizational skills Child Development Associate Certification Full Job Description Child Care Center Director Crowned Kids Academy (CKA) Position Summary Crowned Kids Academy is seeking an experienced, organized, and passionate Child Care Center Director to lead the daily operations of our center while maintaining the highest standards of care, safety, and educational excellence. The Director serves as the operational leader of the center, ensuring compliance with Indiana licensing regulations, supporting staff, building strong family relationships, and promoting the CKA mission and culture. This is a part-time leadership position and is limited to a maximum of 30 hours per week. Essential Responsibilities Leadership Lead and supervise all classroom staff. Coach, mentor, and evaluate employees. Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented culture. Conduct regular staff meetings and trainings. Licensing & Compliance Ensure continuous compliance with Indiana child care licensing regulations. Prepare for licensing visits and quality assessments. Maintain required records, policies, and documentation. Monitor classroom ratios and staff qualifications. Program Operations Oversee the daily operation of the center. Ensure classrooms remain clean, organized, and inspection-ready. Support implementation of The CKA Experience™ curriculum. Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for children and families. Family Relations Build positive relationships with families. Address parent concerns professionally and promptly. Assist with enrollment tours and new family orientation. Promote excellent customer service. Staffing Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding. Create staff schedules. Ensure adequate staffing to meet licensing ratios. Support employee growth and professional development. Administrative Duties Complete required reports and documentation. Monitor attendance and enrollment. Assist with budgeting and operational planning. Communicate regularly with the Executive Director regarding center operations. Qualifications Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential is required. A minimum of three (3) years of experience working in a licensed child care center is required. Previous child care leadership experience a MUST. Strong knowledge of Indiana licensing regulations. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain ). Successful completion of all required background checks. Physical Requirements Ability to walk throughout the center. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds when necessary. Ability to occasionally bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods. Ability to respond quickly during emergencies. Schedule Part-time Maximum of 30 hours per week Schedule determined by the needs of the center. Some flexibility may be required for licensing visits, staff meetings, family events, or emergencies.
